With a refreshing and unusual voice that wafts congenially
over the airwaves or in recordings, Edson Stroll takes his place as one of the
leading Voice Masters of today. With an
expansive range of enunciation and tonality, his statements command widespread
attention and respect. If the episode
warrants, his voice can echo ever so subtly with the signature intonation of a
celebrated personality.
With extensive experience in voice narration tracks
for commercial films, video productions, audio books, and CD-ROM, Edson has the
knack for endowing routine scripts with a fresh style. When desirable, he will contribute wise
counsel, stemming from hands-on production experience, to vexing dialogue and
scenario challenges. He can direct
actors and speakers in the use of the teleprompter, cue cards, and the ear
prompter.
In addition to his voice-over skills, Edson has
far-reaching expertise in the nuts-&-bolts aspects of radio broadcasting
and audio directing. He has appeared in
over 300 TV shows, including 150 episodes as Virgil in “McHale’s Navy.” He also appeared in two of the classic
“Twilight Zones” including “The Eye of the Beholder” and “The Trade Ins.” Edson was Prince Charming in “Snow White and
the Three Stooges.” He has contributed
as an Audio Director and/or voice actor in over 2,000 audio productions. As the Audio Director of NEC’s “Noah’s Ark,”
he supervised and directed a total of 68 voices for their entry into the CD-ROM
game market. This included 10 character
voices of his own for that production.
In the Southern California broadcast vista, where
one voice so often sounds like a dozen others, Edson’s voice rises above the
ordinary. It is particularly adept for
30 and 60-second commercials that must capture and hold an audience. On more comprehensive voice-over assignments
(CD-ROM), he has the gift for holding the listener’s attention from beginning
to end.
